Context
MAHA is the country's flagship platform for agriculture and food security, bringing together ministries, agencies, industry and the public.
Challenge
Exceed published visitor, sales and investment targets while coordinating dozens of agencies and sponsors on a fixed date.

Actions
Structured sponsorship and partnership packages, aligned agency workstreams around shared milestones, and ran a single coordination rhythm through to the closing ceremony.
Collaborators
Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, MARDI, MARDI Corporation, participating agencies, sponsors and exhibitors.
Outcomes
5.02 million visitors (target 4 million); RM73.08 million in direct sales (target RM58 million); 97 MoUs worth RM10.35 billion.

SME digitalisation at MDEC

National programmes helping small businesses adopt digital tools during and after the pandemic.

Context
Malaysian SMEs needed practical help to move online and automate, quickly and across every state.
Challenge
Stand up physical support and distribute grants at speed without losing governance or reach.
Responsibility
Project lead for Digital Enhancement Centres; later manager and then Head of Strategic Projects and Divisional PMO.
Actions
Authored the SME Digitalisation blueprint, set up centres with state partners and managed grant programmes end to end.
Collaborators
MDEC teams, state agencies, technology providers and SME associations.
Outcomes
Seven Digital Enhancement Centres within three months; RM175 million in Smart Automation and SME Business Digitalisation grants benefiting around 30,000 businesses.
Lessons
Adoption depends on proximity: a nearby centre and a trusted adviser do more than any campaign.

MAEPS as a year-round venue

Repositioning the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang beyond a single flagship event.

Context

Challenge
Build a sustainable events and agrotourism business without compromising the park's public purpose.
Responsibility
As COO, oversight of the MICE and agrotourism revenue streams.
Actions
Led the concept for the MAEPS MADANI blueprint and opened the venue to national and international events.
Collaborators
MARDI, event organisers and industry partners.
Outcomes
A growing calendar of national and international events. Detailed figures to be published once approved.
Lessons
A venue creates value through the experiences and communities it enables, not just the space it provides.

From research to market

Programmes that turn MARDI research and technology into businesses farmers can run.

Context
Agricultural research often stalls between the lab and the farm because adopters lack financing and support.
Challenge
Make technology commercially viable for the people who adopt it, not just at the point of sale.
Responsibility
As COO, the technology commercialisation and agri-training revenue streams.
Actions
Paired MARDI technology with financing partners and after-sales support, and built training pathways for agri-technopreneurs.
Collaborators
TEKUN Nasional, Agrobank and other financing and industry partners.
Outcomes
Machinery financing of up to RM100,000 per entrepreneur made available alongside MARDI technology and support.
Lessons
Technology creates possibilities. Capability turns those possibilities into impact.
